Date: Sunday, 22 January 2017
Kick-Off: 14:00 UK,
Venue: Stadio Renato Dall’Ara (Bologna).

Bologna is slightly rising at the moment, winning two of their last three matches. The team has climbed to the 15th spot of the Italian top flight table after being close to the bottom three relegation area in the previous months.

I Veltri is coming off a 1-0 nipping of newly-promoted side FC Crotone on the road at the Stadio Ezio Scida last Saturday, as per Sofa Score.

After a goalless first half of action, Swiss midfielder Blerim Dzemaili scored the winning goal for head coach Roberto Donadoni's side six minutes after the restart.

The win was the sixth of the season for Bologna as the team is now 13 points above the bottom three zone but a long 14 points below the final Europa League qualifying berth held by fifth-place team AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Torino is also slowly getting to their top form with three consecutive unbeaten matches. The team is settled in the eighth spot of the 20-team standings right now, seven points behind Milan and 20 points above the relegation area.
In their most recent Serie A match on Monday, Il Toro was held to a 2-2 draw by Milan at their home ground of Olimpico di Torino, SkySports reported.

Head coach Siniša Mihajlović's side scored the first two goals of the contest, courtesy of striker Andrea Belotti and midfielder Marco Benassi in the 21st and 26th minutes to take a 2-0 lead at the half.

However, I Rossoneri was able to come back in the second half with two goals of their own from midfielder Andrea Bertolacci and forward Carlos Bacca in the 55th and 60th minutes respectively.

Both teams went scoreless after that to settle for the tie and a share of a point in the overall standings.

Bologna vs Torino: Prediction

Torino will be kicking themselves after throwing away two much needed points. The Granata are in desperate need for a win here after a frustrating week that saw their Coppa Italia campaign end. Meanwhile, Bologna have managed to earn two wins in their past three games, albeit against teams in the bottom half of the table.

But given how badly the Rossoblu were faring due to their injury crisis, Donadoni will take any points he can get. They’re still missing quite a few players in defense and midfield for this one, but Torino’s leaky defense could be a problem for the visitors.

Fortunately, Bolgona’s attack isn’t exactly the strongest. They have scored just 18 and had to labour to score against débutantes Crotone, who are the worst-ranked side in the league.
