Lyon (1-2-0) were engaged in a really competitive and quite balanced match against Everton in England two weeks ago, where they took an early lead at the 6th minute. They saw their opponents pull even at the 69th minute, but Lyon took the lead once again just 7 minutes later for the final 1-2.

Moreover, they had lost to Atalanta by 3-0 in the opener, with their strongest game so far being the 2-2 draw at home against Apollon Limassol.
The team has recently changed their coach, but that didn’t matter all that match during the weekend, where they suffered a tough 2-0 loss to Leicester in the Premier League.
Everton have now lost 4 consecutive matches in all competitions, and are now win-less since September 23rd (0-2-5).
They are without a victory in four European games (0-2-2) and have just one point from their opening three Europa League group matches – the lowest number registered by an English club at this stage of the competition.
