Crystal Palace vs Everton : Preview and Prediction English Premier League at Saturday, 18th November 2017

Crystal Palace vs Everton: Premier League preview

Palace are slowly on the up following their horror start to the season.

In the last two home matches, the Eagles picked up their first win of the campaign against Chelsea. While Zaha scored a 97th minute leveller in a 2-2 draw with West Ham.

Everton are also familiar with last-gasp wins, as Tom Cleverley’s skewed 101st minute penalty earned David Unsworth his first win in the dugout before the international break.

Most observers assumed that Everton would have appointed a new permanent manger since the Watford win. But that’s not materialised as Watford have rejected two approaches for Marco Silva, and Sam Allardyce has reportedly dropped out the race.

Does that mean the job is Unsworth’s by default? The caretaker looks certain to be in charge again against Palace this weekend.

Head To Head

Everton have won three, drawn two, and lost one of their last six meetings with Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace vs Everton Stats

Only one of Crystal Palace’s five Premier League wins against Everton has come at Selhurst Park, a 1-0 victory in October 1994 thanks to an Andy Preece strike.

If Crystal Palace lose, they’ll equal the record for fewest points after 12 games in a Premier League season (4), currently held by Everton in 1994-95 and Queens Park Rangers in 2012-13.

The Toffees haven’t kept a Premier League clean sheet since the opening day of the season against Stoke – only West Ham (23) have conceded more goals than the Merseysiders this term (22).

Despite having scored the fewest Premier League goals this season (4), Crystal Palace have the eighth highest expected goals tally so far (13.81).
