LIVINGSTON VS MOTHERWELL BETTING TIPS

Livingston, who appeared to be excellent, started their second season in the Scottish Premiership when they hosted the Motherwell team who were just as impressive at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Can Steelmen continue their great form?

Livingston closed the early stages of the Scottish League Cup with an impressive win over the Berwick Rangers Lowland League team which put them top of their group with 4 points. Livi's opponents suffered a terrible blow in the competition, which only got worse when they conceded 5 more goals at the Tony Macaroni Arena, with Rickie Lamie and Craig Sibbald bagging a double while Alan Lithgow scored the 3rd goal just before half-time.
West Lothian outfit have not lost since their defeat to Paksi SE in a pre-season friendly match but have collected 5 wins over Tranmere Rovers, Alloa Athletic, Ayr United, Stranraer and Berwick Rangers;
and draw and take bonus points against Falkirk on the opening day of the Scottish League Cup.

The latest Motherwell results were a 4-0 win over Annan Athletic and they were in a better condition than their upcoming opponents, as Steelmen were in a 7-game winning streak without conceding a single goal. Liam Donnelly made the goal flow when he opened the scoring in the 20th minute, before Liam Polworth doubled his side's advantage in the first half. The remaining 45 minutes saw little action before Donnelly scored his second goal of the day, with James Scott scoring the 4th and final goal.

Stephen Robinson's side were able to advance through their League Cup group stage match, winning every game and failing to concede once. They started with a 3-0 win over Queen of the South, followed by Greenock Morton 4-0 and a more relaxed 2-0 victory over Dumbarton before their last match.
Livingston will want their initial repetition for their 2018/2020 campaign where the unbeaten length gives them a big boost in their relegation battle, but it's hard to say whether they can do it this time around - regardless of their latest form. Motherwell's results are far better and, frankly, far more convincing, with the additional fact they haven't conceded a goal in their last 7 matches. It will still be a difficult journey on the plastic pitch for the North Lanarkshire club, but we will support them to win the opening match of the season with a full time score of 2-0.
