Germany – 2. Bundesliga
Date: Saturday, 3 August 2019
Kick-off at 12:00 UK / 13:00 CET
Venue: Wildparkstadion (Karlsruhe).
KARLSRUHER SC
Predicted player composition (4-4-2): Uphoff; Thiede, Gordon, Pisot, Rossbach; Grozurek, Frode, Wanitzek, Lorenz; Hofmann, Pourie
Not available: Muller (Injured), Roser (Injured), Camoglu (Injured)
Doubtful:
Karlsruher SC survived the final fear of beating team-mates promoted Wehen Wiesbaden in their opening match last Sunday
when they returned to the second tier, with new striker Philipp Hofmann scoring on his debut.
Midfielder Lukas Frode was the only other debutant player in the starting line-up and he performed impressively, although Marco Djuricin and Dirk Carlson both made late appearances on the bench.
Burak Camoglu was sidelined after suffering a muscular injury to Wehen Wiesbaden so that loan player Lukas Grozurek or Manuel Stiefler could start on the right wing, while Sven Muller and Martin Roser would miss again.
DYNAMO DRESDEN
Predicted line-up (4-3-3): Broll; Wahlqvist, Ehlers, Muller; Kreuzer, Nikolaou, Burnic, Lowe; Horvath, Kone, Atik
Not Available: Hartmann (Wounded)
Doubtful:
Dynamo Dresden suffered a 1-0 home defeat to relegated team Nurnberg in the opening match of last Saturday's season and they went into their first away match after losing six of their last eight matches at the end of the 2018/19 season.
The four players recruited by coach Cristian Fiel appeared against Nuremberg, with Kevin Broll and Chris Lowe both starting and midfield duo Matthaus Taferner and Rene Klingenburg making substitute appearances.
Despite losing to Nurnberg, there wasn't too much wrong with Dresden's performance last weekend so it is unlikely that Fiel, who only lost captain Marco Hartmann, will make many changes to his team.
