Neither of these two teams can win on the opening day of the Serie A season, and that is what they will aim for. Spal was beaten at Atalanta while Bologna were held captive by newly promoted Hellas Verona. The two of them will be looking to put it here, in a game that both feel they can win.
Bologna are not the team that scored or conceded many goals and we saw that from them last weekend with a 1-1 draw. They play in the typical Italian way, and we hope they turn this into a tight match, as we have seen when these two teams played in the past.
Spal does like to play a more expansive game, and that's what they did last weekend, even though they ended up on the wrong side of the score line 3-2. The match will be much tougher this weekend for them, and their chances of success all depend on how many times they can find the time and space to trouble Bologna's defense, who will do everything they can to keep this tight.
We think Bologna can do that, and that will frustrate Spal. We can see Bologna score a goal somewhere in this game and while it will be tight, we want Bologna to take the win. We don't imagine many goals at all, the same as what we saw when the two met in the past, so under 2.5 goals is another bet we will place.

In addition, Bologna has built some momentum over the past few months. Since March, they have only lost twice in official meetings, and both against AC Milan and Atalanta.
