COLOMBIA
Colombia were the only team to go through the group stage with three wins from three matches and they did so without conceding a goal in their victory against Argentina, Qatar and Paraguay.
After confirming their place in the last eight before the final group match against Paraguay, they made ten changes from the team that beat Qatar in the previous match.
People like James Rodríguez, Yerry Mina and Davinson Sánchez all took a break in their last group match and will be back fresh for this match. In the attack, Duván Zapata had scored two goals in the tournament and might have received a nod over Radamel Falcao who had not found a net.
CHILE
Chile qualified for the quarter-finals in second place behind Uruguay in Group C; they lost 1-0 to Uruguay in the final group match after gaining a place in the knockout phase with wins against Japan and Ecuador.
They only needed a draw against Uruguay to ensure the top spot in the group and it looked as if they were headed for that result only for the goal in the last ten minutes from Edinson Cavani who finished the meeting.
Reinaldo Rueda chose to change their formation against Uruguay to 3-5-2 after leaving full-back Isla and Beausejour using a yellow card. The formation will change back to 4-3-3 for this game because they are back together with the inspirational Arturo Vidal who also did not play against Uruguay.

Before the start of the tournament, there was some hope that the old Chilean team could approach a hat-trick for the Copa America victory.
However, the group stage showed that Reinaldo Rueda's team remained a fierce competitor and their solitary defeat in the competition came with a score of 1-0 against a strong Uruguayan team in a match La Roja could win.
The 2015 and 2016 champions will likely make life more difficult for Colombia, and can become the first team in the tournament to score against Queiroz's men - who have so far won their three matches to zero.

However, the defending champions have shown vulnerability to tough opponents, and that was evident in their last match against Uruguay, where all they wanted was a draw to win the group. Also, Chile went winless in 16 of their last 24 matches and failed to score the last time the two met too.
The team led by Radamel Falcao are in five consecutive matches and are unbeaten in 17 of their last 19 attempts. They also managed to win eight of their last nine matches and recorded a combined score of 10-0 from the last five matches.
Therefore, expect them to win a landslide victory over Alexis Sanchez and friends. It certainly won't be easy, but the scales lead to Colombia.
