Tottenham vs Crystal Palace
English Premier League, Season 2017/18
Date: Sunday, 5th November 2017
Kick-off at 12:00 UK/ 13:00 CET
Venue: Wembley Stadium (London).

Team news

Tottenham will be without Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld. Lloris sustained a groin injury and Alderweireld a hamstring strain against Real Madrid on Wednesday, but Harry Kane came through the match unscathed after shaking off his own hamstring problem.

Erik Lamela is not yet ready to return, however, after a year-long issue with his hips while Victor Wanyama also remains out with a knee injury.

Mamadou Sakho and James McArthur will both be in contention for Palace.

Defender Sakho and midfielder McArthur both returned to training following their respective calf and ankle injuries.

Patrick Van Aanholt is a doubt because of a hamstring injury, but could yet train on Saturday. Chung Yong Lee (hamstring) has been ruled out and the game will come too soon for striker Christian Benteke (knee).

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace: Head-to-head

Spurs won the last four Premier League games against Palace.

The two games last season ended with the same 1-0 full-time score line.

Also, Spurs are unbeaten in the five Premier League home games against Palace so far, 3 wins and 2 draws. Palace managed only 1 goal during the period and all the games recorded under 2.5 goals.

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace: Predictions

On paper, this is a huge mismatch and with form on their side Spurs look good to make amends for the loss at Old Trafford last weekend.

Except the 4-1 win against Liverpool, the Whites haven’t made the most of the scoring opportunities at home this season. With Palace expected to pack the defense, this could be a low scoring affair.
