Juventus has suffered two of its three losses so far this season in the last six rounds of Italian top flight competitions. Despite that, the team is still on top of the Serie A table, four points above second-running team Roma.

The defending champs were upset by middling club Genoa, 1-3, on the road at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium last Sunday, as per BBC Sport.

Head coach Massimiliano Allegri's team was plagued by injuries during the game with Juve's premier defender Leonardo Bonucci being carried out in the 32nd minute while Dani Alves was also carted off with a broken leg in the 77th. Both players are questionable in this match against Atalanta.

At the moment, top striker Paulo Dybala is also out with an injury for the Old Lady.

Genoa zoomed ahead to a 3-0 lead with a brace from Argentine forward Giovanni Simeone in the third and 13th minutes and an own goal by Alex Sandro in the 29th. Juve was able to score a consolation goal in the 82nd courtesy of midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

Juventus vs Atalanta: Prediction

Atalanta have been in surprisingly good form as of late. As noted before, they are unbeaten in their last nine, and in addition, have kept clean sheets in their past four away games. They have also netted at least twice in their last four games overall, including against Roma. However, they have a bad record against Juventus. In six out of their last eight meetings, they have failed to score, and have not beaten the Bianconeri in over a decade.

The visitors have also conceded at least two goals in 13 out of their last 15 meetings with Juve. The Bianconeri conceded three in a Serie A game for the first time in over three years and will have to be wary here. However, they should be able to do enough to see off Atalanta and end La Dea’s unbeaten run.
