These two sides are probably already looking forward to getting this season out the way but they will need to negotiate the final 14 games safely enough to ensure they remain in the top flight. Both sides have enough quality to do that and should really be higher than 12th and 14th, their current positions.

They’ve won only 2 of their last 10 league games, although one of those was last time out when they were comfortable 3-1 home winners against Figueirense. This is likely to be a much tougher game though and there’s an element of pressure on them and their coach Ricardo Gomes, who has been in the job a month now but has only won 1 of his 6 games at the helm.
The bookies make Sao Paulo pretty clear favourites here but they continue to disappoint and have only won 1 of their last 5 home league games. Given Cruzeiro appear to have turned a corner and boast a strong away record, backing Double Chance – Draw or Cruzeiro at 5/6 looks to offer the best value here.
