Reason For Betting Tips

These two sides are probably already looking forward to getting this season out  the way but they will need to negotiate the final 14 games safely enough to ensure they remain in the top flight. Both sides have enough quality to do that and should really be higher than 12th and 14th, their current positions.
There can be no question that Cruzeiro are in the better form of the two. although they did suffer a surprise 2-0 defeat at home to Botafogo last time out. That ended a 7 match unbeaten run in all competitions and a 4 match winning streak, which ironically included a 5-2 win at Botafogo in the cup. Despite their struggles, Cruzeiro do have the 3rd best away record in the league and have won 5 of their last 10 away matches in Serie A, including the last two, so there’s plenty of reason to think they can get a
result here.

Even more is provided by analysing Sao Paulo’s recent form. They’ve won only 2 of their last 10 league games, although one of those was last time out when they were comfortable 3-1 home winners against Figueirense. This is likely to be a much tougher game though and there’s an element of pressure on them and their coach Ricardo Gomes, who has been in the job a month now but has only won 1 of his 6 games at the helm.

The bookies make Sao Paulo pretty clear favourites here but they continue to disappoint and have only won 1 of their last 5 home league games. Given Cruzeiro appear to have turned a corner and boast a strong away record, backing Double Chance – Draw or Cruzeiro at 5/6 looks to offer the best value here.

Head To Head
Sao Paulo have won 5 of their last 6 home games against Cruzeiro and won 1-0 in Belo Horizonte earlier in the season.

Stats
Cruzeiro are the only side in the league to have picked up more points away than at home this season (16 away, 13 at home). Only Cruzeiro and the bottom two clubs have worse home records than Sao Paulo.

Team News
Chile full-back Eugenio Mena returns in what is likely to be the only change from the last match. Matheus Reis will drop out.

Joint top scorers Giorgian de Arrascaeta and Ramon Ábila are both out through suspension. Willian should start up top with either Alisson or Rafinha playing in behind.
