Bristol City vs Leeds Predictions & Betting Tips, Match Previews League Championship – England

Reason For Betting Tips

Both clubs come into this game in pretty good form after some morale boasting recent wins. They have both moved into the top half as a result and Gary Monk’s Leeds will be relieved, having started the campaign slowly.

Leeds are actually chasing a 5th straight win here in all competitions so they’ve found some real momentum but it’s too soon to get carried away about what they could achieve this season. The opposition in those last 4 games hasn’t been particularly strong with 2 games against Blackburn and 1 against fellow strugglers Cardiff and all but one of the wins were by just 1 goal. Leeds do have a pretty good away record in recent times though, with 5 of their last 11 Championship away matches ending in wins and they have an excellent recent record against Bristol City so should travel South with confidence.

The Robins will approach this match with momentum too though, following 2 wins in the space of 4 days at Craven Cottage. They won 2-1 in the League Cup there last Wednesday with Championship top scorer Tammy Abraham coming off the bench to net a late winner and the teenager was on target again as Bristol City cruised to a 4-0 win at Fulham in the Championship on Saturday. It is 16 goals in 9 games so far and they are looking one of the most dangerous attacking sides in the league.  They are coping very well without last season’s top scorer Jonathan Kodjia.

Goals in this game look likely. Leeds have scored in all of their last 5 away games in all competitions and given they are on such a good run, Monk will come here targeting another win. Bristol City will give them chances too but it’s at the other end where the Yorkshire side may be in for a long evening. Both teams have scored in 6 of Bristol City’s last 7 games and backing Both Teams to Score at 4/5 looks to offer value here.

Head To Head

Leeds have a great recent record against Bristol City, winning 7 of the last 8 meetings. The one they didn't win was a 2-2 draw here last season.

Stats

Both teams have scored in 6 of the last 8 Championship games at Ashton Gate and in 6 of Leeds' last 10 away league games.

Team News

No changes are expected after that excellent 4-0 win at Fulham. Captain Gary O'Neil could return to the squad.

Leeds could also be unchanged and their captain Liam Bridcutt is also battling back to fitness and may at least return to the bench.
