Stoke City vs Liverpool
English Premier League
Date: Saturday, 8th April 2017
Kick-off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Bet365 Stadium.
Stoke City find themselves in mid-table mediocrity with seven matches still to play this season. They’re essentially safe from relegation, but no where near qualifying Europe next season. The mindset that the season is over may have already set in on the squad, as they have won none of their last four matches and scored only one goal in those matches. You’d probably get pretty decent odds with 12bet คาสิโน of Stoke scoring the first goal tomorrow evening. Liverpool are vulnerable away from home, but Stoke will have to pick up their performances to have any success.
Liverpool will be disappointed after a late equalizer from Josh King led to the Reds dropping more points against a bottom half side. Though they usually drop points away from home, the draw against Bournemouth followed the pattern of dropping points against teams Liverpool “should beat” that has plagued Klopp’s side all season. Manchester City’s loss to Chelsea keeps the Reds in third, but they will fall out of the top four if Arenal and City win their games in hand. While they are still favourites to finish in the top four, Liverpool can’t afford to drop too many more points in these kinds of games.
Stoke City
The Potters have had a typical season of their own. They will end yet another Premier League campaign in the middle part of the standings.
Mark Hughes, however, certainly has reasons to be worried because his side lost three straight games notching no more than a single goal in the last four league outings.
Liverpool
The Reds failed to back up the win from the Merseyside derby as thy only drew 2-2 with Bournemouth on the home pitch on Wednesday evening.
Jurgen Klopp will thus be desperate to pick up the victory against Stoke, but it will be easier said than done especially without the best player Sadio Mane who is still sidelined for the visiting team.
Stoke City vs Liverpool: Head to head
Klopp will hope to maintain the excellent tradition in head to head clashes with Stoke because the Reds have won each of the last five meetings with the Potters.
Moreover, Liv’pool netted as many as four goals in each of the previous two meetings. Lallana, Firmino and Sturridge were on the score-sheet in the drubbing of Stoke on the Boxing Day.
Stoke City vs Liverpool: Prediction
The Potters are far away from their best form and knowing that the visitors have a much greater motive to pick up the victory, we have no other option but to back Liverpool to win the match at 10/11 odds.
Philippe Coutinho has been in good touch lately scoring goals in the last three games for Liverpool and he is well worth taking as an anytime goal scorer at 15/8.
