Team News
West Ham: The major blow for the Hammers is that Michail Antonio will not be available following his red card against Watford last time out. But Bilic has suggested Andy Carroll should be fit to feature in a boost for West Ham.
Likely XI: Darren Randolph; Cheikou Kouyate, Jose Fonte, Winston Reid, Aaron Cresswell; Pedro Obiang, Mark Noble; Sofiane Feghouli, Robert Snodgrass, Manuel Lanzini; Andy Carroll
Chelsea: With a fully fit squad to choose from, the biggest selection dilemma for Conte will be whether to recall Nemanja Matic into the starting XI or stick with the in-form Cesc Fabregas. Away from home, Matic's defensive qualities will likely see him get the nod.
Likely XI: Thibaut Courtois; Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Gary Cahill; Victor Moses, N’Golo Kante, Nemanja Matic, Marcos Alonso; Pedro, Diego Costa, Eden Hazard
West Ham United
West Ham United conceded at least a goal in each of the last five league matches. In spite of the obvious holes in the defense, the team still sits at 9th position far away from the danger zone where they spent a solid part in the early stages of the season.
Bad news for Bilic is certainly the fact the Hammers looked terrible on home court against the top six teams. The team conceded nine goals in two fixtures with Manchester City, five against Arsenal and two against Manchester United since December last year.
Chelsea
Antonio Conte’s machinery keep cruising towards the silverware. They had a scare when Fernando Llorente levelled the score for Swansea City last weekend at Stamford Bridge, but Pedro and Diego Costa quickly got the Blues in charge as it ended in a comfortable home win (3-1).
West Ham vs Chelsea: Head to head
Chelsea lead the head to head tie by only four wins and West Ham won their last outing played in October last year in the EFL Cup.
Conte intentionally sacrificed the cup success going out with the mixed lineup without the main stars. Kouyatte and Fernandes were on target for the Hammers in a 2-1 victory.
West Ham vs Chelsea: Prediction
Chelsea are favourites without doubts, but we must argue the 11/20 odds value because West Ham are not on the foot of the Premier League standings and they can make damage in the final third as well.
We see the Over 2.5 goals as a much better solution here because the hosts have been so easy to break down.
West Ham vs Chelsea: Betting Tips
The top pick is Over 2.5 goals at 4/5 (1.80) with Ladbrokes.
Chelsea to score Over 1.5 team goals is also a decent option at 1.66 at Unibet.
