Atletico Madrid vs Valencia
Spanish La Liga
Date: Sunday, 5th March 2017
Kick-Off at 15:15 UK / 16:15 CET
Venue: Estadio Vicente Calderon (Madrid).
Possibly the most entertaining Sunday match will take place in Madrid, at Estadio Vicente Calderon, where Atletico will play against Valencia. Both teams are struggling at the moment, but guests are working on improving their form while hosts are underperforming visibly.
Atletico Madrid are without a win in previous two rounds. After disappointing defeat against Barcelona when they lost 1:2, they only earned a point in La Coruna despite Deportivo are struggling heavily. They are currently fourth on the table with already 9 points less than third placed Sevilla. Even their defense is struggling, as they conceded a goal in previous five competitive games. In home games they lost only twice, drawing two games and winning eight encounters; also they conceded only 11 games and scored 26. In previous 10 matches in La Liga, they have remained undefeated in nine. With UEFA Champions League approaching and as Atletico will probably play in quarter-finals, it is time for them to step up and start earning points in domestic league, since their goal is surely to play in Champions League next season too.
Valencia are finally finding their form after buying few players in January. Currently they are thirteenth, with three wins in previous five matches. During the midweek they welcomed Leganes on Mestalla, and they won with 1:0 despite having few key players out. They are having less success in away games, as they only won three saw far, with seven losses and three draws. It will be almost impossible for Valencia to reach UEFA competitions, but they own to their fans to play their best and show maximum of their capabilities until the end of the season.
Atletico won three previous meetings between the two sides, including 0:2 win in first part of the season. Also they scored at least two goals in previous three matches against Valencia.

Atletico Madrid vs Valencia: Prediction
Both teams have been in similar form recently, but we still consider Atleti as the favorites in this game. We don’t expect them to lose or draw this game which will make it 3 consecutive games in La Liga without a win.
We are expecting Simeone’s men to put up a brave fight at home to remain in the 4th position after this weekend. Also we are predicting the two teams to get on the score sheet.
