Team News: Borussia Dortmund

Manager Thomas Tuchel is slightly worried about the fact that there are few injuries which have kept his players on sidelines. Sven Bender will be unavailable for selection due to an ankle injury. Neven Subotic and Erik Durm are declared unfit to play the match due to their ribs and knee injuries, respectively.

Hit-man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who scored the winning goal vs. Bayern, should be a key player for the home side.

Maro Reus has recovered from his injury and is back on training with the side. But he is doubtful to start the match against the bottom dwellers.

Raphael Guerreiro is a booking away from the ban, so he must play cautiously against the away side.
Borussia Dortmund: Predicted Line-up (3-5-2)

Burki- Ginter, Bartra, Papastathoupoulos- Weigl, Schmelzer, Gotze, Schurrle, Piszczek- Aubameyang, Ramos

Team News: Legia Warsaw

Jacek Magiera’s side hasn’t been troubled with injuries going towards this match. So, there should be enough options of players for the away side to choose from.

Bartosz Bereszynski and Guilherme are both a yellow card away from one match ban.

The good news for the Polish side is that they have won four of their last five games in all competition, drawing the other. Their strikers look in decent form, and can be a trouble for the Dortmund’s backline.

Nemanja Nikolic will lead the attack upfront since he has been in pretty decent form.

Legia Warsaw: Predicted Line-up (4-2-3-1)

Malarz- Bereszynski, Czerwinski, Rzezniczak, Hlousek- Jodloweik, Moulin- Guilherme, Odjidja-Ofoe, Radovic-Nikolic

Borussia Dortmund vs Legia Warsaw: Head-to-Head Stats

The first leg clash on matchday 1 of the group stage is the only competitive meeting between these two sides. Dortmund had 6 different goal-scorers in the 6-0 humbling of Legia at their own backyard.

Legia Warsaw are win-less in meetings against German Bundesliga clubs. The 9 meetings saw them earn 3 draws, while suffering 6 defeats. They have conceded a massive 38 goals and managed just 6.

Borussia Dortmund vs Legia Warsaw: Prediction

It is hard to expect Legia to produce another brilliant display like they did against Real Madrid a fortnight ago. Dortmund are a side on confidence and it will be hard to even get a point at their home ground.

We are not expecting any surprises on Tuesday as Dortmund are eager for a win to set the clash for group winner against Real Madrid on matchday six. We can expect a flurry of goals once again and it is very likely that the Bundesliga side go with the lead at the half-time break.
