Reason For Inverness CT vs Hearts Betting Tips
Inverness CT managed to get a convincing win under their belt in midweek when they visited the out of form Motherwell and came away with a 3-0 victory. This continued their revitalisation after a poor start to the campaign, and they have now won three, drawn four, and lost just one of their last eight matches.
This improved run of form has lifted them to 6th in the Scottish Premiership table, but they need to up their rate of wins in order to push on. There have been impressive draws against Celtic and Aberdeen in this run, but their failures to beat Hamilton Academical and Kilmarnock will be disappointing for them.
Inverness CT’s two standout players managed to find the net in midweek as Liam Polworth and Losana Doumboya increased their season tally to three apiece in the Premiership. Boumbouya is the main threat at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium though with two goals in his five outings there.
Hearts had a much less enjoyable midweek clash when they visited the out of form Kilmarnock and came away on the end of a shock 2-0 defeat. The visitors enjoyed a large amount of possession throughout the game but weren’t able to break through the hosts’ defence with any regularity. When they eventually did their strike-force failed to take their chances, which is always a possibility when you don’t have a leading star striker at your disposal.
Hearts’ goals have largely come from midfield sources this season, with Jamie Walker, Sam Nicholson, and Callum Paterson being joint top scorers with three goals each. Their out and out strikers, Bjoern Maars Johnsen and Conor Sammon, have just one goal apiece in the Premiership. Away from home only, Callum Paterson has more than a single goal to his name, which goes some way to explaining why they have only won two of their five trips away.
The visitors should at least manage to find a goal on Saturday though. The 3-0 win at Motherwell was Inverness CT’s first clean sheet of the Premiership season, and at home they have conceded in every league match so far. They have managed to find the net in all but two of their Premiership matches though and have only failed to score once at home. This makes odds of 4/6 for Both Teams to Score look a promising prospect, so I’m backing that alongside a 1-1 correct score prediction at 11/2.
