Sloane Stephens vs Johanna Konta : Preview and Prediction,Betting Tips and Match Grand Slam. Wimbledon at Saturday 6 July, 2019

Sloane Stephens

Ninth seed Sloane Stephens has passed her first two opponents Timea Bacsinszky and Wang Yafan to meet Jo Konta for the fourth time this year.
2017 US Open champion Stephens lost to Konta recently as a quarter-final at Roland-Garros last month and has never beaten the British number one.
The American reached the quarter-finals in 2014 but has not made progress through the third round since, coming out on the earliest opportunity in two previous appearances.

JOHANNA KONTA

Johanna Konta will meet Sloane Stephens in the third round after defeating Katerina Siniakova who was shocked by the direct set.
Konta had a disappointing grass season in preparation for Wimbledon after losing to Jelena Ostapenko in Birmingham and Ons Jabeur at his home tournament in Eastbourne.
The 28-year-old was seeded 19th in this year's tournament, but is expected to emulate his quarter-final victory in 2017.

Head to Head

There were three previous meetings between Konta and Stephens. All three have been this year too. Konta won the direct set over America at the Australian Open before beating him twice on clay in Rome and then at the French Open. This will be their first meeting on the grass.

Prediction

Konta seems more likely to combine the two. His first service went well at the moment and he faced strong players, but no one specifically handled the lawn well. With the support of the house behind him, this is a good opportunity for Konta to progress. He has an As card that Stephens does not have. Konta to win.
