Morocco vs Namibia
Africa Cup of Nations
Date: Sunday, 23 June 2019
Kick off at 15:30 UK / 16:30 CET
Venue: Al Salam Stadium (Cairo).
MOROCCO
Morocco qualified for the tournament as group B qualifiers where they finished ahead of Cameroon. They reached the quarter-finals in 2017 but it was only one of two times they have made it through the group stages since 1998.
Positive for Morocco is that they have to match the expected weather conditions in Egypt during the tournament and they are trained by the AFCON winner twice, Herve Renard. Despite the recent record at the Africa Cup of Nations, they have a good chance to plunge away in the tournament.
They have a lot of quality and experience in their ranks including people like captain Medhi Benatia and key striker Judge Ziyech who came to the tournament behind the good season at Ajax where he shined while running into the UEFA Champions League semifinals.
NAMIBIA
Namibia entered the tournament as runner-up in the weak qualifying group over Guinea-Bissau; they only won two of their six qualifying matches and finished with a minus two goal difference.
This is their first appearance in the final since 2008 and only the third time in the final in their history, while they have never won a group match in six attempts.
Their hopes are very low and after being placed in a very formidable group, whatever points they take will be very positive for small fish.
Morocco vs Namibia Head to Head
Morocco have beaten Namibia five times in six meetings with others ending the draw. Both teams were in the same group for the 2008 African Cup with Atlas Lions destroying Namibia 5-1.
Morocco vs Namibia match
Judge Ziyech is likely to become a popular choice at the scorers market at any time after an extraordinary season for Ajax. Ziyech not only scored Eredivisie 16 goals in 2018/19 but also scored twice in Morocco's last match against Zambia.
There is value with Ziyech at the scorer market anytime at 2.40 while Namibia Denzil Haoseb pays 1.90.

Prediction of Morocco vs Namibia
The opening match for both teams on Sunday is likely to make Morocco superior. Even though they were far from impressive in their last three matches, Morocco were sure to be far more eager and far more wasteful towards the Cup.
The Ajax winger, Hakim Ziyech, only scored twice for his team as they lost 3-2 to Zambia and will hope to open his account directly from the opening match. After finding the back of the net in both parts, it is clearly a threat that needs to be marked for ninety minutes.
Ricardo Mannetti's side are currently in a two-match unbeaten run, securing a 3-0 win over the Seychelles and a 1-0 win over Ghana. His team is certainly consistent in finding the back of the goal. Therefore, you can definitely count on them to repeat the same thing in their opening group match.
However, it seems more likely that Herve Renard's forces might be the top at rest and at the final whistle. You can expect Namibia to open their campaign with defeat at hand.
