Despite the defeat to Napoli last Sunday, Bologna were not looking bad at all. Interestingly they gained an early lead in that duel thanks to the goal scored by Palacio, but later on conceded three goals and lost the duel. In order to make first step towards making a return to the upper part of Serie A table, Bologna will have to win all three points against Fiorentina this weekend.
Viola got humiliated in front of the home crowd in the previous round. One of the weakest squads in the league Hellas Verona conquered Artemio Franchi and won the match 4-1. Before that, Fiorentina lost 3-1 to Sampdoria, so another potential loss could raise a lot of questions in Firenze. Still, the bookies marked them as warm favorites to beat Bologna and secure 4th win on the road this season.
