Hull City vs Burnley FC
English Premier League
Date: Saturday, 25th February 2017
Kick off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: KC Stadium.
Hull City
Marco Silva might not have been a name familiar to fans in England, but he is quickly building a reputation with the way he has got a formerly struggling Hull City playing. Avoiding relegation is the sole goal for Silva when he was appointed as the new manager of The Tigers, and recent performances will certainly offer the fans encouragement that they can avoid an immediate return to the Championship.
The Tigers are up to 18th in the Premier League table and they are now just a point off the positions of safety and they are a team trending in a positive direction which is important at this time of the season. The remaining games at The KCOM Stadium will be huge for Hull City who have a 4-3-5 record here and have scored 16 goals and conceded 21 in those games.
Hull City may have lost 4 of their 9 games in all competitions under Silva, but those have come against Manchester United, Chelsea, Fulham and Arsenal and a couple of those have been in the domestic Cup competitions. The positive vibes will come from the fact they have earned 7 points from 15 in the Premier League despite playing 4 teams currently in the top six. Hull City have lost 1 of their last 7 Premier League games at home and they have beaten Bournemouth and Liverpool in back to back games here.
Michael Dawson and Abel Hernandez both look set to miss out while Sam Clucas is suspended having been sent off at The Emirates Stadium two weeks ago.
Burnley
There won't be many excuses being handed out by Sean Dyche after Burnley were beaten in the FA Cup Fifth Round at home by non-League Lincoln City last weekend, but the fans will recognise what a big opportunity was lost. No one is going to get on the manager's back about it though as Dyche has guided Burnley to within 10 points of the 40 point mark that signifies safety in the Premier League and that would be a huge achievement for a club that was favoured for relegation in August.
Burnley go into the weekend in 12th place in the Premier League table and they hold a 10 point lead over 18th placed Hull City with a win pushing them to the brink of safety. Earning a win away from home has been a challenge for Burnley who have a 0-1-10 record on their travels in the Premier League and have scored 5 goals and conceded 24 in those games.
The side go into this game having lost 2 of their last 3 in all competitions and failing to win any of those matches. An early red card in their last away game meant Burnley were on the back foot in a 2-1 loss at Watford and that means they have lost 7 straight Premier League games on their travels.
Jeff Hendrick is suspended, but both Steven Defour and Johann Berg Gudmundsson should be available.

Hull City vs Burnley: Predictions
Hull City are seen as slight favourites in this game despite being among the bottom 3 at the moment. Their opponent has had a long history of poor away form in the Premier League.
The Clarets have just 4 wins out of their 49 away games in their whole Premier League life time. They have managed just a point away from home this season and we don’t see them taking any point in this game.
We are expecting a low scoring outcome considering the poor scoring forms of the two teams. Also, we expect the goals to come in 2nd half as most goals in their previous games have been scored in the second half.
We are expected a win from Hull City in this game to create history of their first ever 3 consecutive home game in the Premier League.
