Derby County vs Burton Albion
English League Championship
Date: Tuesday, 21st February 2017
Kick off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Pride Park, Derby.

Derby boss Steve McClaren could consider making changes at the back for the visit of Burton.

The Rams have conceded seven goals in their last two home outings and the likes of Jason Shackell and Cyrus Christie are vying for recalls.

There are other places up for grabs, too, with Ikechi Anya's place in attack under threat from Johnny Russell and Abdoul Camara.
David Nugent is still waiting to make his full debut for the club after appearing four times from the bench since arriving from Middlesbrough.

Former Derby manager Nigel Clough could recall John Brayford, who played for the hosts between 2010 and 2013.
Brayford has been struggling with a knee injury but only just missed the weekend win over Wolves and is eyeing a return to the squad.

Chris O'Grady should return to the 18 and Lloyd Dyer could once again be kept on the bench given Michael Kightly's form.

Kyle McFadzean (toe) and Damien McCrory (hamstring) are working their way back from injuries.

Derby vs Burton: Head-to-head

The lone competitive meeting the two sides was during the reverse fixture of the current season. Burton edged a narrow 1-0 win on that occasion.

Derby vs Burton: Prediction

Steve McLaren will be desperate to see his boys regroup and respond in a positive manner after the heart breaking 4-3 loss to Cardiff. They can still boast of a strong home record and not many teams have come to Pride Park and returned with a point this season.

Burton are in-route to recovery, but they pose little threat in games away from their home. Their best chances of achieving survival depends on points picked from home matches.

On current form, Derby must win this without much trouble. However, they must fix the holes in their defense first.
