Barcelona vs Real Sociedad
Copa del Rey – Quarter Final, Second Leg
Date: Thursday 26th January, 2017
Kick-off: 20:15 UK
Venue: Camp Nou, Barcelona.
Barcelona have finally found a breakthrough as they caught the right shape in the last couple of weeks. Everything started with a 3 – 1 win over Athletic Club in the second leg of Copa del Rey’s last 16 round. Blaugrana then demolished Las Palmas with 5 – 0 at Camp Nou, took a narrow 0 – 1 win against Real Sociedad at Anoeta and destroyed in-form Eibar at Ipurua with 0 – 4 last weekend. The defensive line is looking great at the moment and we can expect yet another dominant performance from the Catalans against in the second leg of the quarterfinal with Real Sociedad.
The visitors are playing hot and cold at the start of the New Year. The team led by Eusebio Sacristian took two Primera Division wins in a row after suffering a disaster against Sevilla on home court. Their defense does not look bad in the last couple of games either since they managed to keep clean sheets in back-to-back victories over Malaga and Celta Vigo.
