Inter Milan vs Crotone
2016/17 Italian Serie A.
Date: Sunday, 06 November 2016
Kick-Off: 17:00 UK,
Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (Milan).
Inter Milan is on a downward spiral as of late after winning just once in their last six matches. The team has dropped to the 12th spot of the Italian top flight table, tied on points with Udinese and Sampdoria and seven points above the bottom three relegation area.
Their last game resulted in a 0-1 defeat to Sampdoria on the road at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium last Sunday, as per ESPN.
Italian forward Fabio Quagliarella netted the lone goal of the contest for the hosts while interim head coach Stefano Vecchi's side was brought back down to the ground again following a 2-1 win over Torino in the previous round.
The loss was I Nerazzurri's fourth in their last five games, which greatly reduces their chance of qualifying even in the Europa League for next season.
Meanwhile, Crotone, who was promoted this season after a runner-up finish in the Serie B last term, is somewhat rising with a two-game unbeaten run at the moment.
After forcing a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina late last month, the Sharks blanked middling side Chievo, 2-0, at their home stadium of Ezio Scida also last Sunday, via Sporting Life.
Italian striker Marcello Trotta opened the scoring during the first half injury time to give head coach Davide Nicola's squad the lead at the break. Another striker, Diego Falcinelli, then doubled the lead in the second half stoppage time to complete the two-goal clean sheet win.
Crotone remained in the bottom of the 20-team league table despite piling up points in the two previous rounds. They could get out of the bottom three area if they pull off another upset win over Inter Milan in this match.
Inter Milan vs Crotone: Head-to-head statistics

They picked up their first away point prior to that by holding Fiorentina to a 1-1 draw.

Crotone have scored in their last six Serie A games.
Inter Milan vs Crotone: Prediction
Inter are a side in flummox, but they should not fail to come out on top here. Crotone are growing in confidence, but even on their worst day, the Nerazzurri are a gulf in class above the Squali. Crotone are, as noted before totally new in this situation and are feeling confident after their impressive 2-0 win. They will be hoping for an upset, but Inter are still a formidable side and are no Chievo.
The Nerazzurri still have that well-known name and that in itself could be intimidating for a Crotone team still trying to navigate their way amongst the “big boys”. Given that both teams struggle to keep clean sheets, there could be goals on either end.
