Denmark vs Armenia
European Qualifiers – 2018 World Cup
Date: Sunday; 4-September-2016
Kick-off: 23:00 GMT+7
Venue: Telia Park Stadium, Copenhagen.
Reason For Betting Tips
Denmark
have been drawn in one of the most favourable groups for the upcoming
World Cup qualification campaign, but it’s certainly not cut and dry
that they’ll make it. Their big rivals for the qualification positions
will be Poland and Romania, so they have to make sure they beat the less
talented sides in order to keep pace with those two.
Matches
against Armenia, Kazakhstan and Montenegro should be winnable for the
Danish side, and they marked their intent on Wednesday with a 5-0
dismantling of Liechtenstein.
Denmark will be hoping to go one
better than they managed in Euro 2016 qualifying, where they finished
3rd in their group behind Portugal and Albania before getting knocked
out in the playoffs by arch rivals Sweden. Incidentally Armenia were in
that group as well, with the Mkhitaryan led side finishing bottom of
their group with just two points to their names.
One of these
points did come against Denmark though, so the hosts will have to work
hard on Sunday. But with the talents of the likes of Christian Eriksen
and Viktor Fischer to mention a couple, they will feel they have the
edge over an Armenia side that relies heavily on Mkhitaryan.
Armenia
were also in action this week in a warm up friendly, but it didn’t go
quite to plan for them as they lost 3-0 to Czech Republic. This defeat
made it 12 defeats, three draws and two wins for them in their last 17
outings. Their victories have come against the likes of Guatemala and El
Salvador as well, so they haven’t exactly faced top quality opposition.
Denmark
looked really good in midweek against Liechtenstein and whilst Armenia
do provide a slightly tougher test, they will feel very confident in
their ability to get a win. They didn’t slack off on Wednesday when they
took the lead either, so I fancy quite a comprehensive victory for the
hosts. Six of Armenia’s last 11 away games have seen them lose by more
than a single goal margin, so odds of 2.100 for a Denmark -1.5 Asian
Handicap look good value to me. I’m going for a 3-0 correct score
prediction at 7/1 as well.
Preview and Prediction
Denmark will play their next match against such opponent as Armenia.
The game will be played on 04th September, and the fans are to come to
the stadium at 19:00. Although both clubs are strong, they have never
played against each other, so it will be their first acquaintance.
However, the bookmakers have determined their favorite and provided such
odds:
If Denmark is stronger, the coefficient is 1.41, the draw is
estimated by the coefficient 4.9, and if Armenia will win, there is 9.6.
Armenia considers this game not to be serious, what could be seen in
the previous games, where reservists and young team players played on
the pitch. Moreover, this is an away match, and that’s why there will be
no pressure on the players, they will be relaxed while playing
football. This opponent’s relaxation will play into hosts’ hands,
because Denmark needs points to win.
The match, in which teams, that conceded the least goals in a season
meet, can’t be high-scoring, because no one is going to change their
tactics. So it is best to bet on total goals.
Denmark vs Armenia: Head to Head Statistics
The Danish side have had a greater share of wins in their previous
meetings, they have won 4 of their past 6 games. Armenia have won just 1
game against the Danish side, which was an unforgettable 4-0 win in
2013. Both teams have drawn just once, which was their last 0-0 draw in
their last match.
